GERMAN WEISSE BIERS
Kapuziner Weisse
Germany
The perfect refresher! Classic Bavarian weisse bier made the right way,
with a lot more flavor than the competition. This weisse is made in the
traditional fashion, using roughly equal portions of wheat and barley
malt, a small dose of fresh hops and special yeast that produces
wonderfully fruity flavors. It matches a yeasty, citrus tang with a
spicy complexity and a suprisingly light, almost tropical fruitness.
Malted wheat guarantees a big head that just won’t go away. Live
yeast is left unfiltered to give the bier a hazy glow that is
powerfully seductive. Weisse bier is the most refreshing bier in the
world. 11.2 oz
Franziskaner Dunkel
Hefe-Weissbier
Germany
The Franciscan strand in the heritage of the Spaten brewing company is
celebrated by the range of light but tasty weisse biers. Like several
other brewers, Spaten-Franziskaner uses this contradictory conjunction
of “dark” and “white” in its name for this
style. This brew has a toffeeish malt aroma, and a creamy, grainy
palate. It finishes with some spiciness, suggesting cinnamon and
pepper. 16.9 oz
